The is a ten day course  taught by Heather and Ken Rabone.  Heather has nearly 20 years experience working with young people and has been a Special Educational Needs Coordinator in both primary and secondary education and has wide experience in a range of special schools.  Heather is also a practicing acupuncturist and aromatherapist specialising in the treatment of young people and her work has featured on BBC Newsround and in the national and local press. Ken is the founder and Director of Space for Counselling a specialist youth counselling service faciltiating a range of Devon Schools and  is also Director of Training at  the Dartmoor Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy.

This course welcomes counsellors and professionals working with young people who wish to develop their skills and knowledge in this specialised area.  It wil be particularly useful for counsellors, school staff, care workers,  and health professionals working with or wishing to work with young people. This course pays particular attention to the different cultural and racial factors that might influence a child's or young person's perspective on the world.

The course focuses upon  the use of creative interventions with young people and will resource participants with a range of fun and friendly resources in the fields of  drama, art, visulaisation and sandplay therapy.  Ken's work on Sandplay has been published nationally and internationally.  This is a counselling skills course taught by two experienced failitators with over 40 years of experience between them.
